Right to Speak

Authority usually has a clear impression, like the monarch, the pope, government, etc. They educate the public what truth is, what is good. These classes use information asymmetry to monopolize the right to speak. Technology has been trying to flatten these gullies, and they are lowing the cost of communication, which make people easier to talk and share opinions. And the Internet connects individuals more directly. The Internet itself is important. Without the Internet, public opinion won’t be this strong. We influenced by the authority, but because of the Internet, we also become part of the authority today. There is no Other and Self between authority and plebeian, we are both of them under the Internet.
Based on the Chinese proverb “God is three feet above us,” I chose Buddhism's “Guan Shi Yin” as my main graphic element. The meaning of this proverb is to persuade people to do things that are consistent with roles even if the authoritative subject is absent, which fits my content very well. The title of the “Guan Shi Yin” is the Sound Perceiver.
