Ambiguity and mindful interactions
Dier Zhang
The goal of this thesis is to seek and create a sense of fluidity in defining the form and function of objects and processes. Ambiguous objects are created through unconventional methods that do not only engage the form and the function but address contextual and relational concerns. These designed artifacts blur the lines between objects and non-objects. They embody a mutable quality that animates themselves, while stimulating mindful and engaging interactions.
