Remembering to Forget
Nayeon Koong
Human memory consists of a duality between remembering and forgetting. We are living in an information overloaded world yet having a perfect digital memory that we can save everything we want. In my thesis, I argue for a balance between persistence and transience and explore the value of ‘forgetting’ from a design perspective using visual metaphors.

Living in a moment
It starts with a questioning ‘How do people deal with situations that they do not know the exact end?’ And ‘How do we give a value of it?’ I imagined that what if we have an expiration date on our thoughts or relationship between people or object. It is not to make people be aware of the end and get fearful. Instead, it is to know the value of the moment that people might ignore.
