This thesis explores how to use communications design to activate shifts in behavior, and what we can do on and beyond the screen to discourage undesirable behavior and encourage new desirable behavior. I experiment with different techniques and methods such as illustration, gamification, and interactive design to address various contemporary social issues in different contexts. Meanwhile, I also investigate how to create innovative responses that lead to delightful or unexpected user experiences, and ultimately contribute to a greater good.
