Human senses determine how each person perceives a subject in the lived environment, determining human action and reaction. Human behavior is always changing and adapting to fit the updating systems in the urban environment. The construction and design of the urban environment we live in are highly similar and copied around the world in the 21st century. The objects and systems in the environment follow the “visual convenience” that decreases our ability to stimulate and notice other sensory modalities. Urban Sense and Interaction aims to study human behavior and interaction within the contemporary urban environments, by exploring how existing objects and constructions shift our perception of place and ability to connect multiple senses.
