Creating Monsters
Zhan Zhao
It is true that most monsters are just figments of the human imagination, but monster stories and monster images have been part of human culture since the very beginning of civilization. They scare and mystify but at the same time they attract. The source of monsters is in our human selves. We need monsters to release the fear from the unknown, and we need them to help us reflect on various social dilemmas. From the monsters, we can better know civilization's dark side and move towards the light.
Micro World
Through science and technology, we can walk into increasingly microscopic worlds. These worlds that exist but are full of unknowns can be said to be monster universes in reality. By imitating the random movement of particles in the micro world, this piece shows the ever-changing and weirdness of the micro world.
Sight
China's COVID-19 control largely relies on positioning, monitoring, and data sharing. In the face of disease, personal privacy is ignored. Technology may be out of control and become the next monster, the epidemic has accelerated this process. If artificial intelligence could examine us, then humans should be heterogeneous in its eyes.
Hut in the Forest
The world we are familiar with is like a safe hut in the forest. It is easy to meet new strange 'monsters' when exploring new space and looking outside.

Creating Designs
Designing with the monster's creation methodology. Distorting, exaggerating, and rendering ordinary things, like candles. Finally obtaining a visual impression that is entirely different from the original.

Creating Monsters
In a way, we are all monsters. Under clothing, none of us can be perfect humans.
