Thus, the thesis aims to clarify the personal needs’ dilemmas caused by the high consumption stereotype; analyze apparent consumption concepts between different classes, and help understand consumption in other cultures by recognizing the logic and emotions behind Asian consumption within the traditional social engagement.

I learned that the ultra-rich stereotype is built on the definition of others rather than the subject’s self-expression as we usually describe.
