Steps for a better tomorrow
Chaehyeon Lim
The world is currently placing a significant emphasis on self-improvement, evident in the rising interest in self-help literature, music, and motivational content. I’ve experienced the ongoing challenge of moving forward due to a lack of confidence. It has consistently hindered my ability to step into the next phase of self-improvement. Through my thesis, I aim to explore the ways to overcome this lack of confidence, drawing from my own experiences as a foundation. I anticipate that this autodidactic exploration will lead to a deeper understanding of myself and contribute to an overall improvement in my well-being.

Things That I’m Grateful For & A Conversation With Myself
By observing 300 things I'm grateful for, I regained confidence, forgave myself, and learned to love my life. I created a dos-a-dos binding book (a double-sided book), which requires turning the book to read each side, to visually represent how my perspective has shifted.

Dear My Past Self
This project involves forgiving myself for hating who I was, opening a new door by writing a letter to my past self, and conducting a funeral to move on from that person to embrace self-love and growth for a better tomorrow.
