Tracing The Remna__s investigates the friction between Indonesia’s state-constructed narrative of the 1965-66 genocide and the personal memories of survivors. It draws on their recollections as primary sources, tracing the genocide before and after. This project offers a holding space and a space for reflection on the many experiences and stories that have been structurally suppressed and misrepresented. It invites reflection on how their impact is carried on and will continue to be.
