Commercial design consistently uses picture-perfect images of models. The prevalence of these images can trigger psychological issues such as inferiority complexes as well as other anxieties around personal perception. This thesis challenges the prevalent design approach of skin care and cosmetic industries by developing a new primary and secondary packaging for skin care products which communicate the issue they are meant to address. The uniquely designed bottles and abstract photographs illustrate the targeted malady while also connecting visually with the target audience.
