This question began with a question. “What colors are drawing our attention when we are situated in a colorful, commercial environment and how does it align with the branding.” Based on this I engaged in a process of primary research of manually observing and collecting samples. This process iterated to the development of a custom written piece of software, COLOR#PROJECT, which incorporates Vibrant.js to analyze the vibrant color of frames captured from videos that I recorded of myself shopping online. The captured color data was then visualized in a pie chart form. This was placed alongside a set of brand color schemes for the chosen company for easy comparison.
