The beauty and personal care market is a $93+ billion industry in the U.S. alone. Those cosmetic products cause untold environmental pollution. In the past decade, people in the beauty industry were focused on the term” recycle”. In truth, only 14% of cosmetic product’s plastic is recycled. This project proposes using a system of refillable forms and delivery packages rather than recycling. “Chrome Cosmetic” creates permanent jewelry objects which integrate with a Circular System to offer a new direction for the future of cosmetic products.
