Effective advertising relies heavily on the soundtracks that accompany the visuals. History provides numerous examples of artists and designers who attempted to translate music into a visual form. These attempts to visualize music are not always as effective as they could be. This capstone project seeks to create a system to help creative directors find the best match of the soundtrack to the advertisements’ visuals. This is done through a simple set of parameters such as rhythm to help search and identify soundtracks for both the teams and clients.

Primary Research
When we look at an advertisement, we realize how important it is to choose the right sound to support the visual language. If the two do not complement each other the advertisement will not succeed. This research asked test subjects to match visual forms with audio elements which informed the final design solution.
