Accessibility Design: A Design System for the Visually Impaired Shopper

People who are visually impaired can find it challenging to do simple tasks many people take for granted such as shopping. This capstone project is a proposal to assist and accommodate visually impaired shoppers called I-CART. The goal of this project is to develop a holistic design system to enhance, and thereby empower a simple shopping experience for the person using this cart which integrates sensors and multi-sensory assistive technology to guide and inform the shopper.
