Educational kit box reJAMU
Unboxing the box of reJAMU that consists of 3 layers. The shape of the box is octagon, to represent the symbol of 8 stages of life.

First layer
The first layer introduces 8 Jamu recipes that are quite well known in Indonesia with their distinct flavors, ingredients, and health benefits. The recipes are Kunir Asem, Beras Kencur, Cabe Puyang, Pahitan, Kunci Sirih, Kudu Laos, Uyup-uyup, and Sinom.

Second layer
The second layer describes the flavors of each recipe and how they correlate to life wisdom.

  1. Sweet & sour
The sweet-sour taste reflects the transition from infancy, characterized by sweetness, to preadolescence, where life's complexities begin to sour the innocence of childhood.

  2. Sweet & spicy
Javanese people say: ’bebering alas tan keno diukur’ meaning 'the extent of the forest (world) cannot be measured'. This is the symbol of the child entering adolescent age where children often do not think long term about things yet.

  3. Spicy & bitter
This is the teenage phase before they come to adulthood which is characterized by unstable natural feelings. They start to be faced by reality. Therefore they need to be careful in their choice of words.

  4. Just bitter
It symbolizes the challenges young adults face in finding themselves and striving for their ideal life. Despite hardships, these trials sculpt individuals into strong, resilient beings, fortified by life's experiences.

  5. Tasteless
A symbol of the calm young-mid-adulthood phase, achieved after life goals, brings mature enjoyment post-hardships. Its blandness serves as a reminder to stay vigilant against aging health issues.

  6. Warm
With a warm taste symbolizing mid-adulthood in harmony — within family, community, work, and nature. Happiness thrives in strong community bonds, prompting a need to live in synergy with others and nature, while expressing gratitude for what is.

  7. Tasteless & a bit sweet
Mid-late adulthood, escaping worldly chaos. In Javanese mythology, 'lengser keprabon’ means a king's abdication, after embracing self-discipline in nature to attain eternal glory by relying on God.

  8. Sweet, sour, fresh
Reflecting 'sirep tanpa nampa,' it evokes a sincere embrace of silence in eternity. In later years, the pursuit shifts to inner peace and balance. The flavors symbolize life from start to finish.

Third layer
The last layer, or the third panel, describes the stages of life we experience while evolving as a human being.

  1. Fun and sweet memories of early childhood
  2. Inexperienced and impulsive decisions of adolescence
  3. Unstable feelings and hardships of the teenage years to young adulthood
  4. Bitterness or sorrow of life’s journey in adulthood
  5. The calm phase of maturity after reaching life goals
  6. Harmony in family, community, and nature
  7. Resting and surrendering to the Divine in later years
  8. 8. Reaching the good phase of solace and harmony
